Nepali Sherpa's are beasts. I love my climbing/mountaineering movies/doccos and this gets right into the top 10 for me. What a monumental effort by Nirmal "Nims" Purja and Sherpas Mingma Gyabu “David” Sherpa, Lakpa Dendi (Zekson Son), Geljen Sherpa and Tensi Kasang.
Like this effort is insane to me. Climbing all 8000m peaks in 7 months. Like who does that. Project Possible that's who. Nirmal also took that viral pic of the Everest traffic jam in 2019. Then climbed down and summitted 2 more 8000m peaks in 48 hours. LIKE WHAT THE FK!
But the best part is that risking his own life and his teammates he undertakes 2 rescue missions to save other climbers too. What a fkn human!
Nepali's finally get the credit they deserve. Sherpa's are the most gentle, heroic, courageous and humble humans on earth. But they are always an afterthought in the climbing community. Mt. Everest would only be a dream for every western climber if not for them.
Massive respect to these guys. Seriously, sheer disbelief at what these guys achieved.
is this a film or a documentary?
Documentary lad. Who needs a film when we get the real deal.
