The role can change according to the situation. With half the side out and only the tail to come, can't blame him for the change in his role.

I dont think in t20 you can have defined roles tbh. Eberyone needs to be flexible. But like SW loves to say, these guys are pretty stupid. I dont think stupid is the right word but I get what he means. they lack the confidence or game sense or something.

They're not very tactically smart, that's for sure. I feel like they just play.

Low cricketing IQ. You can't teach intelligence. They make a lot of stupid mistakes and they look real stupid vs intelligent bowlers. I think the bowlers are fine. It's hard to predict bowlers as the ball can land on the wrong line/length.

KJP has to be the dumbest cricketer on earth. You can keep him for T20 as he can hack, but SL needs to start grooming young batters. Sooner they get the taste of international cricket, the sooner they can adjust their game.

His problem is mental. When the last over comes, he can hit without pressure because he knows that he will be forgiven if he gets out. He clearly has the ability to hit sixes. Some players have great mental strength. Like Mahela. This guy just lacks a lot of it.
