You can't call a first innings 100 inconsequential because we lost the game later. It is a team sport after all. Scoring a 100 in the first innings to give the team a good start is essentially expected of good batsmen.

Look how strange this is. 5 tons in wins. 1 of them against a top 6 test side. This from a career of over 100 matches.

This is interesting. Expected Samare to bat above Mathews/Chandimal. He scored hundreds more frequently against good sides compared to the other two and maintained a higher average.

I thought the fight would happen for #6, not #5.
