lol why ? People were complaining of flat pitches and how batsmen dont get to develop couple of years ago. Might as well make it difficult for them so only they capable ones stand out. There was a FC match where Ajanatha Mendis scored a century, that to at at a pretty high strike rate. Making the pitch difficult to bat on is good because it will force players to have good defense and force them to be better decision makers. SL batsmen's biggest weakness is their shot selection. How many times have we seen SL batsmen play stupid shots and ask "Wtf why ?". I don't think even Zimbabwe batsmen play silly shots like that. Obviously they do that because they got away with it in the flat pitches of FC cricket. Good batsmen adapt to the pitch, they may score a slower SR, but they will adapt.
Just don't produce rank turners because that's even worse than flat pitches.
We don't really have flat pitches in t20 do we? I remember maybe we had some like 3 4 years ago. But I like flat pitches more because guys don't seem to understand how to pace t20 innings. Pitches where 140/150 is a match winning score doesn't really help does it? It allows guys to get in with 40 ball 50s . High scoring matches also put more pressure on players. But yeah I see what you mean
