Either way its nice to see some of these guys make sizable scores which hopefully translates to the test arena. Couple of names I haven't seen are Thirimana or has he already done enough to warrant selection. Also looking for Kusal Janith to make an impact in the longer format - dearly like to see this guy atleast on the bench. Finally, if there are youngsters averaging 60's I reckon we give them ago, say over a tried, tested and repeatedly failed Thirimane? How much worse can it get for giving a youngster a shot at glory?
There is a young up and coming chap by this name of Lahiru Thirimanne who just smacked 187 no out of a total of 366. He opened in this match but he's got a lot of people excited because apparently he can bat in any position as well and is capable of occupying the crease for a long period of time.
Let's see how he progresses.
