Dananjaya Lakshan opening bowling and opening batting for Galle. He bowled some beauties up front.

Good innings of 98* by Priyamal Perera and his partnership of 110 with Ramesh Mendis enabled Galle to beat Colombo by 3 wickets after half the side was out for 93.
The other match between Jaffna and Dambulla was one sided with Jaffna winning by 176 runs. DdS impressed with an all-round performance of 69 off 64 balls and figures of 4-2-5-3 01-25-2022, 02:25 AM

Not really - I don't think he has big shots to be a finisher. He is a proper top order bat. He will be a genuine all rounder who can contribute both in bat and bowl one day. 01-25-2022, 03:01 AM

Colombo opening batsmen had a hard time putting bat to the ball when he was bowling today lol 01-25-2022, 03:48 AM

But top order is what he's targeting it seems. He played at No 3 in the SLC invitational tournaments; now he's opening. I've never seen Lakshan playing a big shots as a finisher down the order. Have you? Only time I saw him was for Galle in 2020 LPL. Even in that inning he was just timing the bowl than going for big shots. |
