Credit to Vandersay. There are bits and pieces of this bowling attack that I like. But on the whole, not good enough to be a top 4 odi team.

Against better oppo, Vandersay may get hammered. His pace really need to improve. Wanindu does so well because of his pace. Get him more turn which makes his variations deadlier.

Chameera looks good. Good lengths and was in ODI team of the year. I haven't seen SL last year but it's nice to see him talked about.

Nissanka can bat at #3, even in some FC matches he batted in #3 and #4, Danushka cannot as he is a pure opener.

This team is far from being a top 4 side. I don't know if the current sent of players(especially the batsmen) are consistent enough to expect this team to be around that ranking. SL when on sync can be a 6-7 ranked team but anything more than that is pushing it a bit.

Vandersay is bowling in mid 80s, this is the best speed to bowl for flighting spinners, anything more than that will have to be flatter, he already drops short balls often, wouldn't encourage him to go flatter. I noticed that couple of his sliders were above 90KM/H. His pace is perfect. Hasaranga is not a conventional spinner, he did try to experiment flighting and turning big but they ended up being terrible and got slaughtered everytime he tried them. He doesn't puts tons of revs on his deliveries so when he flights it doesn't dip so it ends up on the batsmen's slaught and he gets whacked. He doesn't input lots of revs so he doesn't get bigger turn. His strength his accuracy and subtle variation(disguised quicker googly) that isn't easy to be picked. I wouldn't mess with either of those guys' current way of bowling to be honest.

Congratulations SL for their massive victory against Zimba! Now, that is real minnow killing, and where we want to be in order to get to the next level of competing well with the top 6 teams.

Other than this, if we could do this type of killing every time we play Bangladesh, JB and I will be very happy!

Why drop down Nissanka when he is doing so well to include a spoiled brat like Danushka. True, he has been consistent but I wouldn't have him anywhere near the team with a rubbish attitude like that and what's the point in posting playing XI's just to include some players with no balance in the side.

Hello! where did that come from . Didn't expect Zimbabwe to fold up for 70 inside 25 overs after getting 296-302 in the previous two matches. This pitch was certainly not conducive to get 300 but it was not a pitch where a side could flop for 70. Getting their main batters, Ervine and Williams inside the first 8 overs, really broke their back. Vandersay seems to have nailed it. Good series win for SL.

SL are scheduled to play 5 ODI's and 2 tests against Australia at home in June/July and then 3 ODI's and 2 test against Pakistan also at home according to the FTP.
