Interesting challenge. 100 mph doesn't look that different from 80 mph on video

Difficulty vs the speed kind of has an exponential relationship. Difficulty gets exponentially difficult as the speed goes up at higher speeds.

This is what I'd expect as well. But often the fastest bowlers are the least economical in T20. In this challenge KL Rahul seemed to struggle most around 85-90 mph. In test cricket it seems to be a bit different. 12-02-2025, 02:01 AM

The machine is difficult because you don't see the ball being released. I've messed around with 90mph using bowling machine for several balls but at that speed line and length at times varies because the machine might not be great/calibrated and at that it is very difficult to fend yourself off unless you grew up batting from childhood. I wussed out after few deliveries. I've seen some guys face 100mph in nets, you can defend but attacking is very difficult. Anything about 125km/h is difficult to pull in general. |
