Poor show by SL in the final, especially in bowling and catching. SL could have kept India to around 250 if they had caught the catches that came their way. The drop off Mandhana when she was on 21 proved to be very costly. SL didn't stand a chance once India scored 342 having never chased down such a huge target.
SL doesn't have any more matches scheduled before the WC in Sept/Oct. They have many areas to improve before that. Hopefully, SLC can arrange few more matches before the WC. One positive we saw was, middle and low order batters getting runs with Nilakshika being consistent and the only SL batter to have a SR more than 100. Chamari who has been going through a serious form slump came back to some sort of form with back-to-back fifties in the last two matches but was nowhere near her best.
