There's always that element of risk in KJP's game because he relies too much on cross-batted strokes. Even some of his hits to long on are like horizontal baseball shots. He dies by the method. This is why he hasn't been able to average 35 in Test or ODI.
Croospulle can play in the V unlike most SL batters. Has some good shots down the ground. Got out playing reverse sweep and sweep in the last two games. Hope he doesn't take 10 years to learn about his strength and sensible methods of scoring.
Hasaranga's shot on the off side against Theekshana and some of Avishka's hits on the off side (including the one last night) are impressive. Most SL batters don't have that kind of skill on the off side. These two don't need to depend on crap deliveries to score.
