How on earth is de Lange an allrounder. Please check his records before you make statements like this. Do you think if Chamika went berserk from ball one, it would have made any difference to the end result. The bottom line is he ended up with SR of nearly 160 and the margin of defeat was only 23 runs purely because of his innings.
I think he should've rotated the strike more at the beginning and try to build an innings with Zadran and Samarakoon. is slow start prompted Zadran and Samarakoon to take too many chances. They probably would've still lose. But that how you attempt to win a game - not by bogging down in one end.
His hitting at the end is impressive; no doubt about that.
de Lange obviously is not a genuine allrounder; but he averages around 16 in FC. That's some one who is not completely useless. It's not the same as having Pradeep at the other end.
You are blaming a guy who scored an unbeaten 75 off 47 balls and saying others got out because of him which is ridiculous. You are talking about just 10/15 balls when his team had virtually lost the game and when he scored nearly 70 runs in the next 30 balls with the tail at the other end. C'mon give Chamika some credit, he deserves it.
