Does anyone know which ranked teams will be playing the Eliminator, and Qualifier 1 & 2 matches? Is it the same as IPL? I thought in IPL, teams ranked # 1 and #2 play in a qualifier in the very first match after the league matches. But, here the Eliminator itself is scheduled to be played first.
Not that I am good at predicting, but I think Jaffna or Colombo will end up winning this year's LPL. Whoever wins that match will end up winning the tournament. These two teams are way stronger than all other teams, that they easily nullify the batting 2nd advantage too. Provided Mathews continue to play, Colombo will be the 2nd best team behind Jaffna, otherwise Dambulla has a slight chance to sneak in as the 2nd best team. However, Dambulla cannot beat Jaffna in a knockout match, only Colombo could. Even then, ONLY with Mathews playing.
How did Jaffna and Colombo were able to sign up this many top players? Do they have richer owners or something?
I have noticed lot of Sri Lankan players take really good diving catches, that wasn't really the case when they were playing for the national team. Our players fielding, over all, is top notch in this tournament.
