Here's why umpire's call is stupid and primitive - It gives precedence to what a human thought happened when he watched it in real time, when they already have a recorded video of what actually happened from the bowler's release to impact on pad. That's just silly.
Coming to HE, its projection from impact to wicket is based on that video recording of what actually happened, and therefore has a far greater chance of predicting the final outcome with success.
They have extended the wicket zone for lbw review twice. So they are going in the right direction, but it's done in baby steps. Originally the wicket zone was demarcated from the middle of the off stump to the middle of the leg stump lol
