I grew out of all that hocus pocus.
Now I just walk down to the local temple (conveniently 5 mins walk from my house) and do a bare. This is of course fine since the power of bare and pirith is backed by science.
I never really had superstitions (even when I was playing at school level), but I think those things can in fact help players in a way. Sitting in one place, or putting on gear in a certain way or whatever doesn't really have an impact on real outcome, but I think it can help you do better personally, since you believe in it. It's like sort of a mini-meditation if you will, doing things that way probably can help you as a player calm down and focus, and give you that confidence, and not give you anxiety that you broke your pattern or whatever.
Obviously I don't think it really matters if you sit in one place or whatever as a fan; the theory about it changing the course of future in the universe probably far too infinitesimal for an individual to affect, and even if they can affect there's no way of knowing which way it's going to affect.
