Sri Lanka have so far made easy meal of Bangladesh. India won 2-0 but were on verge of losing the 2nd test in December 2022 series. New Zealand also lost one test match last year.

It shows Sri Lanka test side is as good as any of the top 5 test teams.

Sri Lanka has beaten Bangladesh easily.

Sri Lanka is as good as India, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa & England.

We don't need ICC rankings if we are to go with your way of ranking I was wondering why SL was sitting #7/8 in the rankings when we as good as AUS, NZ, SA and England

I think every team is almost equal. There is no one side dominating at the moment. England & Australia are winning the ICC trophies & India are topping every format ranking. Any team can beat any team anywhere. WI beat Aus at the Gabba, Bangla beat NZ in NZ.

SL is sitting at #7 but this SL test side will beat most sides in SL. I am waiting for SL-Aus & SL-Ind test series in SL.

There will always be one off wins or a lowly placed team beating a higher ranked team but the important thing is to be consistently good. That is when a team can go up the rankings and stay within that top 4/5. I can agree with you when SL start climbing up that ladder to at least 5/6.

Having long on for Jayasuriya in both innings when the batters hadn't earned that by hitting him is poor captaincy, especially when you have 500 runs to play with. Conceded a lot of easy singles.

Targeting the stumps from round the wicket worked for Asitha yesterday. I'm not sure why he's wasting his energy with short stuff when he can repeat what worked for him.
