The message in the movie is really strong and I think they did a great job of drawing parallels to what’s happening now with so many issues.
Not sure what Keshan was expecting but I found it to be marketed and executed as expected.
Its a decent film, with great performances and a message is what I said. It might get some award buzz purely because of the message its trying to send. But as a film as I said its a 7 from me out of 10. Highlight was Cate Blanchett. And so good to have Lawrence back and kicking ass. s
I saw it appearing in one of the best best movies of the year lists, which I don't think it deserves to be.
I didn't see the light until I was already a man and by then it was nothing to me but blinding.

What didn’t you enjoy about it ?
Not that I didn't enjoy it, but I didn't find any of the scenes being really memorable either, except maybe for the interview scene on live TV. There was great potential in the setups but they didn't develop into what it could have maybe.
That's why I said its just a decent film. Something to watch and forget. But the message it has, the ending and the all star cast would mean people will talk about it more. But its not because of the script was great throughout.
I felt the documentary style nature cut scenes didn't blend as well as they wanted. I get what they were going for but I think it fell a bit short.
I also thought opportunities were missed with Jonah Hill. He could have become an absolute menace of a character given the actor too.
I didn't see the light until I was already a man and by then it was nothing to me but blinding.
Doesn’t matter to me who the actors are cuz the delivery was perfect.
I watch a lot of US politics related shows so maybe I have a bigger connection to a lot of the stuff they’ve included here
Climate change is just one aspect they talk about but a lot of the rest is about the media handling of topics and news cycles and what not. These hit very close to home if you’ve followed any of the last 10-15 years of US politics.
I think that’s why TO also enjoyed it. There’s a huge realism to the movie and it’s funny to see it snowed in this format. It blends so much of what’s happened in those years into this movie in some format or the other.
I also think Jonah Hill was great in this. His prayer to stuff was absolutely hilarious.

I thought Jonah was great too. I wanted more screen time for his character.
I mean I try to follow the climate change stuff as much as possible too, especially in Wired and all where they cover it from truly unique perspectives. I think one of the reasons why the live interview scene worked so well was because, I think more than anything they captured and mirrored it to real world so well but got the dramatic aspects of it right as well from a film and entertainment pov.
Rest was decent imo.
I'm really glad they stuck with the ending.

The media stuff is all based on how US media and networks handles not only climate change but pretty much any controversial topics and just news cycle stuff in general. You are not gonna find that on wired which is a good media outlet.
