Matara Sunil's XI
![]() ![]() ![]() Gary Kirsten - Ever-reliable at the top of the order, kirsten amassed 6798 runs at an impressive average of 40.95. the fact that Kirsten opened the innings for the Proteas at an era where great fast bowlers were in abundance makes kirsten's achievements even more noteworthy. His 188* against UAE at the 1996 World Cup remains the highest score made by an individual batsman in world cup cricket. Kirsten was also a very reliable fielder Gordon Greenidge- Partnering kirsten is this great West Indies opening batsman from the glory days of West Indian cricket, He was a superb technician, who learned solid defensive techniques on the pudding pitches of England and then allied them to an uninhibited Caribbean heritage. Greenidge scored 5134 runs at an excellent average of 45.03 Martin Crowe- Captaining the side is the hero from the 92 world cup, Crowe lead an unfancied New Zealand side to the semi finals of the world cup, narrowly losing out to Pakistan, who went on to become the champions. His efforts with the bat, coupled with his great leadership earned him the Man of the Series award. Crowe amassed 4704 runs at an average of 38.55 Mohommad Yousuf- Probably one of the most under-rated cricketers of the modern era. Yousuf has 9720 runs to his name at an average of 41.71, His graceful technique and flawless batting held the Pakistani middle order together for many years. Darren Lehmann- This stocky, free flowing left hander combined aggression with consistency to become a head-ache for many sides. Occupying the all important no. 5 slot of the OZ middle order for years, he averaged 38.93 at an impressive strike rate of 81.34. he was also a handy part time left arm orthodox bowler who captured 52 wickets at an average of 27.78. Umar Akmal- Joining the Sunil's XI as the Wicket keeper batsman is this extremely talented youngster from Pakistan. Although many underline that he hasn't yet lived up to the expectations, he has already, almost single handedly won Pakistan a number of matches. This flamboyant batsman averages 35.94 with a strike rate of over 86/100. He has achieved all of this at the tender age of 24, clearly showing that there is much cricket left in him still to become a true great of the game Lance Klusener- The ideal example for an ODI ll-rounder, Kluseners batting or bowling alone could've earned him a place in many sides, but Klusner combined both these traits to good effect averaging 41.10 with the bat and 29.90 with the bowling. Throughout his career he scored 3576 runs at a career strike rate close to 90 and captured 164 wickets. His all round abilities lead South Africa agonizingly close to their first WC final. Sir Richard Hadlee- the best bowler to ever grace New Zealand cricket, This legendary pace-man spearheaded the New Zealand attack in the 80's. In his illustrious carer hadlee captured 158 wickets at an average of 21.56 and scored 1751 runs at a average of 21. 61 making him a useful all rounder Graeme Swann- The most successful conventional off spinner in the modern era, Swann was a breath of fresh air for England who lacked a proper spinner for years. Swann captured 104 wickets at an average of 27.7, He also was a handy bat averaging a tad over 13, although he is a better batsman than what those figures suggests. Dennis Lillee - Although Lillee was forced to cut down on his pace due to injury, He emerged as a complete fast bowler, who spearheaded the attack for over a decade . He captured 103 wickets at an average of 20.82 per wicket. Tony Gray- Bringing up the rear is Tony grey from the 80's, The west indies fast bowler who was 6'6 and had an impressive but short lived career, due to injuries. In the 25 matches he played, Grey captured 44 wickets at an excellent average of 18. 97 And I am also privileged to announce Candice candice swanepoel as my team ambassador ![]() 12-30-2014, 02:17 PM
^ That's a violation of the integrity of the Draft. You are not allowed to involve Candice. Get a pic of Matara Sunil in there.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I too would like to know how the draft organizers are going to handle this. Charu clearly violated the Draft Code, it's in no way fair to involved the hotness of Candice in a draft like this. Muga it is up to you yet again to preserve the integrity of the draft. All eyes are on you.

Draft is over. Comp is not my domain. I only handle operations of it.
Comp is a public beast. Charu has won in my book. 12-30-2014, 09:59 PM
