Watched the Dune Part 1 reissue at the movies since I missed it the first time on the big screen.

Godam it's such an epic movie. Just loaded up on tickets for Part 2.

Fully expect a masterpiece and am holding out hope for DV to end this as a trilogy with an adaptation of Dune Messiah.

I received it on the weekend with the Mrs.

It is a masterpiece for sure. I cannot wait for Dune Messiah to adapted to complete the arc.

It's up there with LOTR , Star Wars OT, Dark Knight Trilogy. But perhaps not fully there because we haven't seen the full story. As a standalone movie I think its close to Interstellar which is probably my fav movie of all time.

It's too early to discuss the movie since we are in spoiler territory.

My initial reaction was 10/10 but I've since downgraded to 9.5/10 for some personal gripes but objectively speaking and with Dune 1 included the story is what every movie should strive for.

Z is great in this and Chalamet brings his A-game in the back half to really cement Paul's narrative arc. I think it takes the best of the books, tweaks it here and there to make an incredible cinematic experience. DV just gets this story and his passion just transports us into this world like no other movie has for a long time.

I hope to see an IMAX screening for my 2nd watch!
