[br]here are my intepretations to your questions[br][br]i guess this is as good a review as you'll give by your lofty standards [br][br] so the blackhole was created by humans themselves?[br][br]no, gargantua was there in that star/solar system, the planets orbit around it, we - humans - colonised edmunds planet. the blackhole was always there and its is this fact, i believe through extrapolation of what the movie talks about - that the humans lived near a blackhole that enabled us to understand gravity better thus unlocking the 4th and 5th dimension, time and gravity, enabling them to build the tesseract (the cube thing that MM falls into) which enables cooper to communicate through time.[br][br]whats more important i think is where did the wormhole come from, because right now, we know its possible but not how it can actually happen, in the movie, present day nasa ppl think some one placed it there, this is a key factor i think because, depending on what you believe to be true, significantly alters how you view the movie[br][br]a) if our future humans put it there, then it opens a time paradox that is there in all time travel situations, ie. chicken and egg issue, if we put it there, then we must have gone through it in the first place to figure out how to make one, but how did we make it, if we did not go through it.[br][br]b) it just happened, its beyond our comprehension yet in science, so u could say thts a liberty to take in understanding this movie, if you think it just appeared there, then the whole story is linear and in 1 timeline, so everything just makes sense.[br][br]it is mind bending but, this is why it is SO GOOD![br][br] how did the humans first get out of earth? [br]nasa. clearly they've been sending a bunch of missions to see if there are other planets that are inhabitable when the blight hits and earth is falling apart.[br][br]and along comes the wormhole and all the missions that go through it, including coopers mission. whats important to understand is that is coopers mission succeeds, or rather PLAN B succeeds, because Anne Hathaway (dr brand) eventually ends up in Edmunds planet, colonises it.[br][br]plan B works - then we humans evolve, figures out the time space problems, and then figures out that we can actually save planet earth and actually make plan A work. [br][br]THAT is how humans get out of earth, its timelines , the movie is showing what our future selves decided to do once they unlocked the dimension mysteries.[br][br]why did MM steal a ship to go find anne hathaway when the big space ship is just about to enter the worm hole itself, it's not like he was in love with her.[br][br]try and get in to MM's mind at the that time. he does all this for murph and in parts for humanity, his job is done, but if you see his character he is always driven by exploration and something new, fresh, he wanted so badly to be reunited with murhph, but when he does, he is an alien to her as he she is to him, he doesn't actually know her, and she doesnt want him around either , she says that literally, not in a bad way, but their time is done, it came and went while MM was out there saving the world, so MM being who he is , sees that there is nothing for him. so decides his time is better spent helping brand with the colony and also maybe looking for new planets etc. its quite common human nature.
can somebody delete this thread so I can start a new one with a review of die hard as every movie thread should start.

u havent said anything there

EDIT: on second thought, i wonder whether the blackhole was a necessary element to create the tesseract as perhaps to create the time travel library you need a singularity level of force for it to work. So perhaps it is a human construct - a necessary piece to enable communication through time

[br]It's not an extrapolation, as in, we have no clue what's going inside of a black hole, but the math is pretty solid around the border, which is called the event horizon. It's exactly what happens on earth but since the gravity on a black hole is so massive it makes a difference. That is, even on earth, the gravity acted upon our body by earth is different from our head to toe: more on our toes than on our head. But earth's gravity is so low it effectively has no impact. But on a black hole, the gravity is so massive the force on your head and your feet are hugely different, so your body will start disintegrate, like a strain of spaghetti, which is why it's called spaghettification. So there really is no way to survive falling into a black hole the way cooper did.
[br]
[br]The other theory is, well, you can't argue agains somehting like that, but do you think the creators who went to such lengths to get their science right here will resort to such a whacky explanation? Personally I can't think they will. Likely explanation is that they just took a creative license on falling into the black hole.
[br]
[br]Ya I read about the event horizon so it does not make sense that he was not spagettified.
[br]
[br]UNLESS!
[br]
[br]Of course the theory of the humans constructing everything there which includes the blackhole and the wormhole
[br]
[br]So if we created it, perhaps we altered its math so that Cooper could surive, certainly they altered it in a way that they could place the tesseract in there.
[br]
[br]So its not beyond the logic of the movie ?
