Just a small question...stop being so negative and defensive....I am assessing this lucky charm business....just in case we get there once again in 2015 !!!
Chill pal !!!
nope. CBK was in SL. Went straight to Araliyagaha Mandiraya from the air port to meet her.
Agree with Thaniya. Golden old days. SL hardly had passengers. Fielding was fantastic. Creates
and took almost all the half chances. Even a loss is exciting to watch. Can't say we going to have that type of a quality team for future or never at all.
the 96 world cup group stage matches were in full swing around this time 20 years ago.
amazing to think 20 years have gone by since.

Good idea.
My clearest memory was of the semi final. The shop across the road was playing the match as our school van rounded the corner. I heard the uncles groaning when Kalu got out. Then I got out of the van, and as I went into the house, another round of groans. Sana was out.
Ran to sit on the hall floor and watched Aravinda play that innings through the gaps in my fingers, which were over my eyes, since I couldn't bear to watch. To this day, still my favourite innings by a Lankan, though I guess I'm not alone in that.
