We haven't played 3 spinners in the last few tests played at Galle. The last time we played 3 spinners was against Pakistan in July 2022. The third spinner then was Wellalage who bowled only 13 overs in the match without taking a wicket. Prabath and Ramesh together took 17 wickets and SL won by 246 runs. Since then we have played 5 tests with 2 fast bowlers and 2 spinners with Vishwa being the preferred second fast bowler.

Vishwa has taken 11 wickets in 4 tests since that match against Pakistan.
