You did pick couple of random countries where his SR was good and ignored the rest where his SR was poor.
There are quite a few players who have been identified outside our school system who have gone on to represent SL and being match winners. The best example I can give is Lasith Malinga. These players need to be identified and given opportunities at the top level.
The fact he can score quickly against some top 6 sides means in the future he is certainly capable. Which is why I support persisting with him.
Give me batters
Mendis is the most experienced regular batsman in the side. He should have improved with all that experience but he hasn't. As I said in another post, I will keep Mendis for now but will drop him in the next 6-12 months if he doesn't improve against top sides.
