2012 T20 WC started very well, I thought WI will fold, WI were off to a very slow start. The atmopshere was loud. Then Marlon Samuels played a blinder. I thought 130 whatever was a good score to chase. But I knew when that first ball from Ravi Rampaul to Dilshan was bowled it was done lol. Had a bad feeling about. There 2 stupid run outs as well. The fans looked like they were all gonna cry. I was surprised by the reaction of the Indian fans with their loss to Australia, like they were dissapointed but were not sad enough.

Someone posted Virat struggled, no he didn't. Yuvraj & Dhoni did.
A lot of fans from my country blame Yuvraj but Dhoni was equally responsible. Malinga & Kulasekara bowled brilliant yorkers at the end. I was disappointed as an Indian fan but happy for Sangakarra & Jayawardena as they had lost finals in 2007 WC, 2009 T20WC, 2011 WC & 2012T20WC. 2014 was great year for SL cricket, they won the Asia Cup in Feb, T20WC in April & the test series in England 1-0. 03-22-2024, 02:47 AM
In those last 4 overs bowled by Malinga, Kula and Sena - Kohli 7 off 8 and Dhoni 4 off 7. I'm glad Thisara never bowled. He could have conceded 20 in one over.

Still Virat had 77* of 55 something, Dhoni was the finisher. He struggled shows the quality of the bowling.

Dhoni faced only 7 balls. It was Yuvraj who really struggled for 11 off 21 balls.
