I rewatched “There’s something about Mary” yesterday and realised how it’s one of the best comedies of all time. Genuinely makes me laugh out loud throughout.

Just think about the iconic quality movies of 90s and maybe early 2000s, and compare that to post 2010, ton of superhero movies and sequel movies are killing the industry. Those are cash cows, and so even good movies are wasted because of that. A prime example is Hobbit, such an iconic great story, and could have been amazing if they did it in one 3.5h movie, but instead tried to milk it into 3 movies and ended up being shite.

The big short is very underrated. Watched it again recently. It's hilarious as well. Might take a few viewings to understand properly though.
